Oath

When I was home in Christchurch a few weeks ago, everyone had their individual quake story. People seemed weary, but still had their humour. Now? Who the hell knows. I imagine a war zone mentality setting in.

I've spent the last week pretty much continuously reading the news sites. There are some sad, sad stories. Today I went into central Cambridge, and there were a couple of tourists looking at a map. I gave them some directions and they made the mistake of asking where I was from. In exchange, the poor confused buggers got a 5 minute lecture about seismic activity in the south Pacific. I might need to cut back a bit.
